Holy crap! Our sweet baby girl is already 7 months old! I can't believe it! I can't imagine life without her! Elsie is so fun! I want to be with her ALL THE TIME! I hate it when I have to leave her. She smiles so much and is so happy! I am so glad her 2 teeth are in now because she is so much happier! I am not excited for the rest of her teeth to come in :( Elsie is still drinking 6 oz of formula at each feeding. At night, I give her a bath at 8:00, she drinks a bottle, and goes right to sleep. She wakes up around 1:00 am screaming for another bottle. She drinks it in about 10 minutes, and goes right back to sleep...until about 5. Does the same thing and then wakes up around 7 or 8. Most of the time she doesn't eat anything again until about 10ish. She isn't much for breakfast...I am sure it is because she eats all night long :) I can't decide if I like that Elsie likes her carseat so much or not. I have a hard time getting Elsie to stay asleep anywhere but her carseat :) Most days, her 2 naps (sometimes 3) take place in her carseat. A lot of the time, we don't even have to go anywhere. I just put her in there and she falls asleep before I even get to the car, so I end up staying home :) She won't put herself to sleep in her crib or when we hold her, just in her carseat. It will be a whole new adventure when she advances to a front-facing carseat...Whish us luck :)
Elsie thinks she is such a big girl because she can now sit up all by herself. Right when you sit her up, she looks at you and smiles really big :) She has started doing the same thing in the bathtub. She thinks she is such a big girl! :) Just this month, Elsie has stopped sticking her tongue out as much. It makes me kind of sad, I LOVED it when she did that all the time :) Sticking her tongue out has been replaced by her sucking on her tongue and lips. Now when she gets really excited, she straightens her arms, makes fists with her hands and pushes her lips together and grunts. I LOVE it! It is so cute! I love that she is getting so big, but at the same time I am sad she isn't so little anymore. Elsie can roll over, but she prefers not to. She will only lay on her back, or sit up. I don't know if Elsie will ever crawl. I do like that she is still a stationary baby. I know I will have a lifetime to chase her, so I cherish every moment of her staying in one place :)
Elsie LOVES television. Maybe LOVE is an understatement. When I tell people she likes the tv, they say, "Ya, all babies love it because of the colors and movement" like that is all Elsie sees.....No way! Elsie doesn't just "watch" tv for the colors and movements, she WATCHES it. She interacts with the tv already, she smiles and giggles whenever there is a close-up of a person's face on the tv. She loves her "Baby Signing Time" videos. She smiles the whole way through it :) She is so entertaining to watch while she watches tv.
I am hoping that Elsie isn't a picky eater like her dad (Oh wait, Josh says he isn't a picky eater - he says he just eats only good food:) ). I can't get her to eat more than 2 bites of any baby food. Just this week, I gave her some of my fresh peach - SHE LOVED IT! This is the only food I can get her to eat. But just tonight, she ate some of my baked potato. She didn't even like mashed potatoes. She hasn't liked any baby food. I will have to keep trying. It isn't like she is hurting for nutrition :) I may have one of the kids that skips straight to table food. I am ok with that, it is cheaper anyway :)

Elsie's 1st Rodeo (St. George Dixie Round-Up)...
We took Elsie to her first Rodeo Sept. 16. She had no idea what was going on, she just loved to be able to see new faces and be outside. She loved it!
