She'll Never Stop Growing....

Elsie is growing up SO fast! I can't believe it! She is a little girl now. She is no longer a baby.  I am so sad that I didn't actually write this post in March when I was supposed to. :(  I think I will be able to remember, but I don't.  It is hard enough to remember yesterday, let alone 2 months ago!  I do know that Elsie is so much fun!  This month was the first month I noticed Elsie's interest in "dressing up" She loves to try to put clothes on.  Thankfully, she hasn't figured out how to take her own clothes off yet, but she loves to try and layer other clothes on.  She LOVES to pretend she is wearing my bathing suit, she will hang it around her neck while she plays, it is pretty funny.  She loves to go to Macy's house and wear all of her dress-ups, or go to Grandma's and put on dressups with the older girls.  I swear that about a week after Elsie turned 2 she got some "kick" to her :)  Elsie has started to be more strong-willed.  She definitely knows what she wants and most of the time, she will NOT be convinced to change her mind :)  She is pretty good at throwing fits...Josh and I have gotten good at ignoring her when she is throwing a fit, or we have gotten good at side-tracking her in the middle of her fit :)  I try very hard to not ever say words I don't want Elsie repeating.  When I get frustrated, or drop something, or break something or whatever, I have tried using a sound.  I say "uuuuhh (like ugh, but without the "g" sound)" with a slight "growl" at the end...now Elsie says it EVERY TIME she gets frustrated.  It is so funny!  She also throws toys she gets frustrated with.  I find it entertaining....until the thrown toy hits me...
Elsie is such a joy to be around!  She still draws attention wherever we go!  I love it!!  We truly are blessed!  We are so grateful for Amanda every day for blessing our lives with this precious little girl!  Thank you Amanda!  We love you!!!
Playing with her toys
I love this angle of all her perfect features.

This was the first night Elsie said the prayer!
I told her what to say and she copied me...
well, the last word of each phrase I said.
So cute!  I am so proud of her!!

Elsie did this all by herself, I was laughing so hard!

She knew she was funny :)
Josh didn't think it was as funny as I did, then he said
that Elsie is just like her mom :)  I will take that as a compliment! :)

And she's asleep in the cart once again .... :)

Playing...

Dress-ups with Lea and Blakelee
Posing princesses :)
I'm pretty sure she knows how cute she is!

We were at Crea and Ashley's house.  Elsie and Abby were in Abby's room playing.  They had shut the door and were in there for less than 5 minutes.  They were giggling super loud like they were jumping on the bed having a good time.  It never got quiet.  They came out of Abby's room, SO PROUD of their artwork....

Abby said Elsie did it all by herself...I have a hard time believing that, but it was pretty funny.  I was very quick to take pictures and even quicker to scrub it off Elsie's face :)

All ready for church!

The Birthday Princess' Party!

For the Princess' party, we decided to invite all our family and friends to go swimming again!  Elsie LOVES swimming!  Who else doesn't love an opportunity to go swimming in February?!?  I don't think Elsie realized everyone was there for her, but she sure had a ton of fun!!  I didn't take very many pictures because it was kind of crazy there :)  We did manage to get a group picture :)  After swimming we came back to our house and had cupcakes, opened presents, then had cake and ice cream.  The cupcakes were mostly for the kids, so we didn't make them wait :)  Elsie is so lucky to have so many family members and friends that love her!  Thank you everyone for coming!!
