Elsie is 8 Months Old!

I feel like I start each "month" post with the same thing...But as each month passes, I really can't believe how big Elsie is getting, how much I love her more and more each month, how lucky and blessed we are...the list continues! Elsie is the best baby! She gets more and more fun the older she gets :) These past couple of weeks, Elsie has started to move a lot more. She reaches for anything and everything in her sight, whether you are holding her or she is sitting or laying on the floor :) She still isn't crawling yet, and I don't know if she ever will. :) Every time we put her on her tummy, she immediately rolls to her back. If she can't reach a toy from sitting or from laying on her back...she doesn't need the toy. She will just entertain herself with her toes instead :) She does love to reach for our hands and pull herself from sitting to standing. It won't be long before she is pulling herself up to furniture. I love that Elsie is still immobile, becuse I know that once she starts getting herself around, she will never be back to the immobile stage :) I have no idea how much Elsie weighs, I am guessing around 20-22 pounds :) She is slowly weening herself off of the bottle. She would much rather eat food than have a bottle. Elsie hates baby food. She prefers table food. I give her whatever we are eating. So far, she has liked everything I have given her. She loves fruit, vegetables, pasta, bread, cheerios, pretty much everything :) I hope it stays this way and she isn't a picky eater like her daddy :) There aren't many things Elsie doesn't like. She hates getting dressed, being hungry, being bored (she has just recently started getting upset when we leave the room - she now prefers we sit right next to her while she plays with her toys), I really can't think of other things she doesn't like. She is such a happy, social (she LOVES to be out-and-about and to see everyones faces), fun baby girl :) Josh and I are the luckiest parents in the entire world!!! Thank you Amanda!!!!

No matter her size...I LOVE THIS SWEET BABY GIRL!!!

Her favorites now are: Baby Signing Time, Sesame Street/Elmo's World, The Price is Right, The View (she giggles every time Whoppi Goldberg is on the screen), any commercial with kids voices or music, pretty much, Elsie loves all tv! :)

A Day in the Life of Elsie...

I decided to take pictures all day long one day of Sweet Baby Elsie :) I take lots of pictures anyway, but this day I tried catching all the moments :) Enjoy :)

I love to sit and talk to mom while she is getting ready

Whenever I am wearing an outfit I haven't worn before, my mom always has a photo shoot in the morning. Sometimes I love it - today I didn't :)

I am not a huge breakfast eater because I still get up 2 times in the night and drink a full 6 ounces each time :) Cheerios will have to do for today :)

Some play time :) This is a new toy my neighbors let me borrow. I love it!

Who doesn't love some grass for an afternoon snack? :)

This particular day, dad decided to carve a pumpkin.

My mom was bored, so she tried putting my hair in a ponytail. I didn't like it...neither did my mommy or daddy....hence the headbands and flowers that Grandmas don't like :)

I still hate getting dressed! The armholes are the worst! My mom still can't figure out what I hate about it so much! Once I am dressed I am so happy!

My mommy wraps me in a warm blanket and usually hands me to my daddy to give me a bottle :)

I always go to sleep at the same time each night :) I pretty much put myself on a schedule cause my parents didn't have one before I came along :)

Good night! I am finally sleeping in my own room! :) I am the luckiest girl in the world! Thank you Amanda for giving me everything!!!
