So it was reaffirmed to me Friday that I am the luckiest girl in the world because I have the best husband ever!!! I was in the middle of teaching class and one of my students walked in with a beautiful vase of flowers, and said "Where do you want them?" I said, "Who are they for?" He said, "You." I had no idea why I would be getting flowers. The card said, "Have a great day. Love, Josh" I truly do have the best husband ever!!!

Best Husband Ever

Happy Birthday Cole
Cole is 30! Josh is only 2 weeks behind him :) Cole picked us up Saturday morning and we went to Vegas to pick up Kaly. We hung out there for awhile, went to the new City Center there, then we went and ate at The Cheesecake Factory at Cesars Palace. It was a fun, super short trip. We were back in St. George by 4:00. Then we went and ate at Rusty's in Cedar with a bunch of friends! It was a good time. There was about 12 of us. We were eating and the waitress came over and put a Bud Light in front of Cole, and said, "This is from Bret" It was from our friend that was sitting at a different table with his family. It was so funny! That explains the beer in the picture! :) We are so lucky to have such great friends!
San Diego
Last minute, Josh, Cole and I decided to go to California. We decided Saturday night to leave Sunday afternoon. We stayed in downtown San Diego. We left Dec. 27 and came back Dec. 30. It was a quick, nice, relaxing trip. I love the sunshine! We laid out by the pool at our hotel, walked around downtown (I, of course, did a little shopping :) ) went to Sea World, and we ate out a lot! It was super fun.
Adoption
Josh and I have been trying to have children for 4 years or so. A year and a half ago, our friend, Danielle, began mentioning adoption. I thought she was crazy, until I realized I cried every time she talked about it and realized that the spirit was so strong that I couldn't deny that adoption was for us! We finally finished our paperwork and were approved for adoption through LDS Social Services September 2009. I am so excited for our journey of adoption! It has been a long, hard road, and I can't wait until the day we can look back and say, "It was all so worth it!"
Joining the Blogging Train
I never thought we would have a blog before we got kids! I saw two of my friends' blogs made into a book and I was jealous. The only reason I am making a blog is so I can have a book later! I am hoping I can keep it updated, but I still have the same empty journal from 10 years ago...so hopefully this is a little more motivating than just writing in a journal. :)
