19 Months Old!!!

I decided that I put off updating my blog because I know I have to go through my "millions" of pictures I have taken of our perfect baby girl during the past month.  I cannot believe that our baby girl is already 19 months old!  We sure do love this girl more than anything!!!!!!  Elsie definitely has a temper, but her temper isn't amything to how much fun she is!  I cannot believe how well Elsie is talking now!  She tries to say everything we say!  Every time I talk to her, she repeats back the last word I said.  For example, "Elsie, want to go take a bath?"  Elsie, "Bafh" she repeats us all day long.  I love every minute of it!  I love it when she says "Meh-Mea" translation: Mommy :) she kind of has an accent when she says it.  She also days "Da-eey" all day long.  I can't get enough of either words!  It makes me so happy to hear her say my name, that I love to have her say other people's names to them.  She usually does a pretty good job.  I can't get enough of her cute talking.  I hope I am never tired of it.
Elsie still loves:
  • Movies (any and all cartoon movies)
  • Ellie, her stuffed elephant - I love watching her get excited when she sees her and grabs her and pulls her to her face and grins and giggles.  I usually get the best hugs from Elsie when I have just handed her Ellie to her, it is so cute! C
  • Chairs, Elsie loves to stand on chairs at the counter or table.  At home, she loves to get into all of Josh and I's stuff that we have on the counter.  She also loves to take apples, tomatoes or peaches out of the fruit bowl and take bites out of them.  All day long, Elsie says, "Chr" and wants to be standing on the chair :)
  • Playing "Kitchen" - She loves to play with anything kitchen-related.  Whether it is a toy, or something from our kitchen.  She already loves to pretend to put things in a container and stir and taste them.  She loves to use my spices (the ones she can't get open) and pretend to mix them together and taste.  She also still plays with her "Laugh and Learn Kitchen" she got for Christmas last year (this is about the only toy she still plays with besides her babies)  I have started letting her help me in the kitchen, she LOVES it!
  • Elsie loves her babies, especially, Ariel or as she says it, "A-e-o" it is so cute!  She loves to carry them around and now she will put them in the baby playpen we just got for her babies and say, "Ni-Ni" it is so cute!
  • Getting her way - When Elsie wants something, Elsie wants something!  If she doesn't get what she wants, she throws a fit!  If it is something she wants and can't have and we take it away from her, she usually throws herself on the ground and either screams and kicks, or she silently pouts, usually it is a good, loud fit :)  Elsie is only 19 months old, but she has mastered the art of "Fit-throwing" :)  Most days she is pretty easy to distract if she is wanting to do something we don't want her to do.  Most days I actually find her fits quite entertaining :)
  • Running - I LOVE her run!  I love the giggle that comes with her run!  I think it is so funny when she runs from me and giggles! (I really do think it is so cute)  When Elsie has something (or is somewhere she knows we don't want her to be or to go) she know we don't want her to have, she will pause, look at us until we look at her, then she will take off running and giggle.  I still think it is funny, some day I may not :) I love how her arm swings when she runs usually she swings her right arm away from her body as she runs, it is hilarious, I LOVE it!
  • Shoes - "Shoo" she says it all the time, then she will find a shoe and bring it to you.  She even tries to put her shoes on her babies, it is cute.
  • Gymnastics with mom - nothing organized, she just loves doing tricks and spins with mom.  She isn't afraid of anything, she giggles all the time.  Her favorite trick (which she has done for MONTHS) is when she is on our shoulders, we hold her ankles (we ALWAYS have to hold on to her ankles) and she free-falls backwards and giggles.  It doesn't matter where we are, she falls backwards all the time.  She doesn't get as many shoulder rides anymore :)
  • Water - Whether she is swimming in it, bathing in it, drinking it, playing in it, or even watching it, she LOVES water!  She says, "Wa-er" She isn't afraid of anything in the water.  We always have her lifejacket on her (even if we are at a pool where she can touch) because she loves to float on her back and kick her feet.  I need to do swimming lessons.  Last night in the bathtub, she was putting her face down in the water and trying to figure out how to NOT suck water into her mouth and nose.  :)  She'll figure it out soon enough :)
I could go on for days!  I love everything about being a mom!  Elsie is such a perfect girl!  She has brought so much joy to our lives!  She does throw fits, but what child doesn't?  I love watching her learn and grow and scaredly-enough, watch her mimick Josh and I.  All day long, I have to be aware of what she is watching me do and say.  Today I said, "Dang it" and she immediately mimicked me. YIKES!
The other day I asked Elsie if she was crazy or cute and she said, "K-yoot" it was super cute :)  I love every stage she is in and I am glad that I recognize that each stage only last for a bit.  I try to cherish every moment of every stage.  I LOVE BEING A MOM!!!!!

All ready for church!

Those eyes...

Those kissable cheeks...

We do have other chairs in our house...

"Hammin'-it-up" in her crib before bath time
I got a new camera and I was trying to figure out how it worked while I was getting her into the bath and she ran into her room and wanted to play in her crib, this is the result :)

Cheese!

Any other kids pose while they watch tv?

Lovin' the headphones to the DVD player in our new car

She usually lasts about 10 minutes with them on

Then she hands them to me and will watch the movie with no sound until I feel guilty and put it on the loudspeaker.  Good thing I love Disney movies.
Elsie will watch any movie!  She isn't picky.  I think her favorites are: Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Toy Story 3 - she will watch ANYTHING!

Elsie and cousin Hayley sharing a fresh peach at Grandma's house

Sleepy girl :)
I love how her legs are crossed

They learn how to climb so fast...

Perfection.

Watching Daddy

Figuting out how to cause trouble on the ladder

Found a game that plays music at Uncle Cole's cabin

I LOVE this girl!!!

What to choose...

One time...
All it takes is once.  The baby swing was taken so Josh tried this one, now she thinks she is too big to swing in the baby swing.

Danielle, Collette and I waiting for "Grease" to start at Tuacahn

She loves popcorn, just like her mom!

...and she's out!
I said a long time ago that Elsie will be on a bottle until she is 10!

Playing with Hadley and Hayley

Cute, dancing girls.  These 2 are only 13 days apart

Cute girls!

The girls (and Mead blowing a kiss in the background) :)

Cheese :)

Elsie loves to play kitchen!  This is during nursery at church.
This was so funny.  She would put popcorn in her mouth and never take her eyes off the tv.
We are in trouble!

My 2 favorite people!
I can't believe Elsie fell asleep in that position :)

This is a new game...

She runs to the cupboard to get chips and I come to get them from her and she hides in the cupboard :)

Peek-a-boo!

Cheese!!!

Who knew a stool from the bathroom would provide Elsie with over an hour's worth of entertainment?

I loved watching her play!

Outfit of the day :)

She loves anything sweet :)

Including suckers...even sour ones.

Probably one of her favorite places to be...
On a horse on the Merry-go-round :)

This face...

Our attempt at a family photo :)

Yikes.  This one is only on here because her face looks so perfect.  Sorry if mine scares you :)

Posing :)
Actually, I think she was throwing a fit :)

Playing in the dirt with Gavin & Kenley
All the other kids were covered in dirt.  Elsie stood by the dirt and used a shovel to get into the dirt.  She never got dirty, other than a little dirt in her shoes.  We were here for over an hour.
What a princess! :)

Singing "Popcorn Popping" on Uncle Cole's 4wheeler

Watching Aladdin in the car with Macy

Her hair is getting long!
I hope it stays curly forever!

Licking the beaters!

A few clips of Elsie during the last month...
She has the cutest personality!
Enjoy...
Lila is so funny!!!
A few animal sounds :)
Trying to get her shoes on :)
This was recorded in the car at night while she was watching a movie.  You can only really see her face when the light from the movie changes, but you still get the idea.  She sang like this for about 10 minutes :)
Showing off her dance/twirling moves after the Pine View soccer game :)

Crazy girl that LOVES ice!!!
