-
Mommy and Daddy - she has started to be more "clingy" to both of us, especially when we are around new people (she used to not care).
-
Playing - she loves playing by herself - she loves to play with babies and her stroller, anything from the kitchen cupboards, her "Laugh and Learn Kitchen" and anything else we don't want her getting into. Elsie loves to empty all my drawers in our bathroom, she usually empties them and then walks away.
-
TV - Yes, this girl still loves tv! Any and every show, movie, commercial...you name it! She is so fun to watch while she watches tv - she giggles, smiles an interacts with the tv. It is so cute!
-
Food - what 16 month old doesn't love food? Elsie's current favorites are: ketchup, potato chips, eggs, strawberries, grapes, tomatoes, yogurt, popsicles, chicken, french fries (actually she likes ketchup with a side of chicken and fries), hot dogs (she usually eats an entire hot dog), black beans, quesadillas, - she isn't very picky, but she won't eat it if she doesn't like it :)
-
Water - She loves water anywhere and everywhere...especially when she can play in it
-
Ellie - she still loves her elephant, Ellie. I love watching her smile and hug Ellie when she sees her.
-
Outside - Elsie loves to play outside. She loves the park, she loves the swing and the slides most. I love hearing her giggle as she goes down slides. Freedom - she loves to be able to run and walk wherever she wants, Josh and I spend our time following her around, making sure she is safe :)
-
Cell Phones - Elsie loves cell phones. If she sees one, she immediately puts it to her ear and starts talking (in her own language) - you are guaranteed to see her throw a fit if you take a cell phone away from her :)Being Scared - Elsie loves to hide on the side of the bed and have us come scare her, she also giggles when we scare her from around corners.Playing on the bed - she loves to play on our bed. She tries to stand up and falls and giggles.
These are most of the things that make Elsie happy. Overall, Elsie is a very happy girl and is really fun to be around.
Elsie Doesn't love:
-
Having to hold still - she is terrible at holding still :) The only time she holds still is when she is watching tv, or strapped in her carseat or high chair :)
-
Being hungry and/or tired - Whenever Elsie is overly hungry or tired, she walks around and cries and trips on her feet - she can't function. It is kind of cute, but makes me feel bad :)
Really....all Elsie needs is a full tummy, and full night's rest (and a nap every day) and freedom to move and she is happy. I really can't think of anything else she doesn't love. Elsie is the light of our lives. We love to play with her. She is a lot more fun at home because we have "Elsie-proofed" our house and we know what she can and can't get into. Taking her away from our house, she is a lot more work, but she is still so fun! I love watching her smile and wave at everyone she passes, she loves to smile and wave at people.
She is always more interested in the paper :)
I had to let her play with toys to get her to hold still :)
She is attempting to say "Cheese"
Naptime :)
Elsie playing with Uncle Steven
Pretending to smile at the camera...she is watching tv :)
This is half a wave because she is more interested in watching tv, than me :)
Dancing to the tv, then she throws a fit...a typical day at our house :)
Elsie watching Go, Diego, Go! This is how she watches tv every day :)
