1st Doctor Visit

Elsie has a stinky umbilical cord. I was looking at the information I got from the hospital and it said that if the umbilical cord is bleeding, pussy, red, or has a foul smell to call a doctor because it may be infected. So we called our doctor and luckily they were having a night clinic. We went in and were there for 2 hours. Welcome to parenthood :) We weighed her (with all her clothes on) and she weighed 7 lbs. 12 oz. The doctor checked her out and said that the dry part of the umbilical cord was attached to her skin, preventing air from reaching it, so it was trapping the non-dried out part and causing it to stink. He took care of it and all is well!!! Elsie is fantastic!!!
